Back to school means busier schedules, less time to get ready, and empty wallets. All three are natural enemies of those who care about looking good. That is, unless you have the right haircut. Much like putting a bottle of Gatorade next to your bed before a night of heavy drinking, it’s important to set yourself up for success, and that means getting a cut with good bones.
So, if you want a style that will grow out nicely, is easily styled, and requires minimal trips to the shop to maintain, what should you ask for? Remember these three things:
Length, or lack there of, matters:
Using a 3” blade on the round of the head and a 2” blade on the sides will give you a flattering shape when it grows out
Keep it tight:
A lean or close taper will ensure you look fresh, even when you don’t feel like it
Light work with a straight razor can add texture and definition to an otherwise standard look and give you more styling options
To show just you how versatile this low-maintenance look can be, we had three Rudy’s regulars from all walks of academia serve as our models. See the cut in action and get to know a bit about the students and professors behind the hair.
Whether you're heading back to the classroom or the office, we've got the quality cuts you need to go back in style.
