Rudy’s Shop Managers are supported by the Regional Manager to lead a Rudy’s Location. They act as a community leader who creates a true representation of Rudy’s Culture. The Shop Manager oversees daily store operations and ensures that Rudy’s standards and goals are consistently met. They are an inspirational leader, who fosters and develops their staff to achieve their highest potential. They act as a leader for their community and shop. They are constantly looking for growth opportunities and have the follow through and initiative to make those opportunities a reality.
Key areas of Responsibility:
- Community Leader
- Participate in hiring process with Regional Manager
- Facilitate new hire training
- Create shop budgets
- Supervise employees in daily duties
- Conduct employee reviews
- Conduct one-on-one and group staff meetings
- Perform employee disciplinary actions and terminations
- Handle HR needs of the shop, i.e. workers comp, unemployment claims, etc.
- Set shop goals and properly train employees to reach those goals
- Look for and implement new growth strategies
- Banking and bookkeeping
- Conduct payrolls
- Create shop schedules
- Conduct shop inventories
- Submit retail needs to the Head of Retail
- Submit supply needs to Regional Manager
- Maintain shop facilities
- Coordinate special in-store events
- Ensure that shop is compliant with State Board of Cosmetology Laws
Qualifications :
- Experience with managing a team of five or more employees
- Preferred 3 years retail experience
- Demonstrates great leadership abilities
- Demonstrates a talent for motivating others
- Demonstrates the capacity to work successfully with a wide variety of personalities
- Demonstrates the ability to be a Brand Ambassador for Rudy’s
- Demonstrates excellent math and bookkeeping skills
- Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and identify areas of growth potential for the business
- Demonstrates the ability to be detail oriented

Stylists provide customers with a comprehensive range of expert technical services supported by a commitment to client product education. Stylists define the client relationship with Rudy’s, focusing on exceeding expectations and building repeat clientele through exceptional services and product education. Stylists represent Rudy’s Culture through a commitment to continued education, exceptional customer service and striving to exceed client expectations
Key areas of Responsibility:
- Consistently provide exceptional client experiences
- Demonstrate reliable quality technical skills
- Build and maintain a well-served repeat clientele
- Attend regular education classes to improve upon current technical skill set
- Maintain awareness of and ability to adapt to current trends
- Learn and maintain thorough knowledge of products available for use in shops
- Consistent and effective chair education to clients regarding maintenance of style
- Represent Rudy’s by maintaining great personal style
- Support shop by being ready and engaged while at work
- Support fellow stylists by sharing positive knowledge and experience
- Provide and maintain proper equipment as required by Rudy’s
Qualifications:
- Preferred 1 year of assisting or floor experience
- Proven ability to build a clientele
- Demonstrated desired level of technical skill through test cuts
- Demonstrated ability to provide successful consultations
- Skill set level approved by Education Department
- Demonstrated passion for hair
- Belief in great hair care products and chair education for clients
- Commitment to continuing education
- Demonstrated positive history of working in team environments
